Introduction

My name is Josiah Deor-Williams. I grew up in the Appalachian foot hills of North Georgia and now live with my young, growing family in Homer, Alaska.

My Dad, being a fine woodworker, instilled in me from a young age a respect for tools and reverence for wood. I spent most of my waking hours as a child building small structures in the forest on the large property i grew up on, and in my adult life have worked in various fields of carpentry, from conventional ground up construction to remodeling.

The love of travel and a continuing search to live an adventurous and free life has resulted in me building my last few homes on wheels, a venture that has tought me the importance of fully utilizing a small area while still making a beautiful, comfortable, and inspiring living space.

I believe that by using building materials such as wood, stone, soil and natural oils you create a space that is full of life and therefore resonates the life that you live with-in it.

I have experience with everything from design to finish, and enjoy working with raw and salvaged materials, using alternative methods.
